Tablets are event items that appear in Castlevania: Lament of Innocence. They are stone tablets carved with either the letter "e", or with the numerals "VI" or "IV".

Usage[]

The "e" Tablet is required to give life to the boss in the Anti-Soul Mysteries Lab. If Leon reaches the boss room before obtaining this item, all he will find is a strange inscription on a wall with the word meth (Latin for "death") carved on it. Once he finds the tablet and brings it back to this room, it can be inserted into a hole on the wall to form the word emeth (Latin for "truth"). A menacing Golem will then assemble with the body parts scattered along the room and the boss battle will commence.

The "VI" and "IV" tablets are in fact one and the same, just switched backward. To achieve this, Leon must first obtain the "VI" Tablet, which can be found in the central room of the east tower of the Pagoda of the Misty Moon (2F). Then he must make his way to the big hall located at the center of this floor, where he'll find a room with a strange contraption and a big tablet near a wall with the Roman numerals "I", "II", "III" and "V", and with an empty space where "IV" should be. Leon must insert his "VI" Tablet in the device and push the nearby lever, resulting in the tablet being switched backward and now reading "IV". Inserting this tablet in the empty space of the bigger one will remove the seal on the door of the room where the "VI" Tablet was initially found, allowing access to the Dragon Crest, and with it, obtaining the means necessary to open the throne room, where Walter awaits.
