Synopsis[]
- With the future at stake, Richter and his friends join forces against a terrifying new evil that puts their powers − and the Belmont legacy − is put to the test.
Plot[]
Drolta lands on the ground, close by to Richter with Sekhmet possessing Annette's body on his lap. On the ground, Drolta kicks aside Erzsebet's corpse as a whirlwind surrounds her and transforms into a larger, more hideous form. Drolta's new form leaves Richter aghast, and she proceeds to attack him, but Alucard charged in to stop her. He then, unleashed his vampiric abilities as the two skirmish while Richter listens to Sekhmet claim that the "vessel" is weaker than ever, but she insists that she receives her remaining souls from Drolta. Richter asks if there is a way for Annette to return, and Sekhmet claims she's an interloper, but admits she is too.
Propelling the fireball that Alucard cast at her, Richter volleys it into the air and joins Alucard in his fight with Drolta. During it, Drolta seemingly had Richter at her mercy by having him fall to the ground, but he uses an Ice shuriken he cast earlier to chop off her right hand.
Alucard and Richter then try to launch a duo attack against her, but she stops them while they are in mid-air and regrows her missing hand. With her newly regenerated hand, she blasts Alucard away, and before she can do the same to Richter, he manages to land a punch against her. Drolta tries to counter-attack, but Sekhmet appears and crushes Drolta's arm, declaring herself Sekhmet, Guardian of the Dawn, Child of the Sun, and Mistress of Healing. In agony, Drolta claims that she did everything for her sake. However, Sekhmet argues that Drolta had become unsightly, desecrated her temple with monstrosities, and fed her soul to a walking corpse. Still, Drolta insisted that's what she had to do to allow Sekhmet to walk the Earth again. Not listening to Drolta's pleas, Sekhmet proclaims that the scales must be balanced again.
Sekhmet proceeds to absorb her soul back from Drolta, and Richter witnesses the immense pain that she is experiencing. He tries to stop her, but Alucard stops him and claims Annette wouldn't want that. Hence, Richter backs off and allows Sekhmet to finish reabsorbing her soul from Drolta. Once that is done, he holds Sekhmet in his arms.
In the spirit realm, at Sekhmet's temple, the beast overpowers Annette, but hearing Richter call out to her temporarily grants her Richter's Fire. She then fights against the monster as Richter's words resonate through her and defeats the monster. From the water, Annette sees three versions of Sekhmet floating toward her. Using her shield as an impromptu boat, she rows past them as they merge into one, and Richter continues talking to Annette. Rowing forward, Annette is flung into a portal that leads back to the living realm, and as she flows through it, Ogun propels her forward, and she briefly runs into her mother, where they embrace and part ways.
Annette awakens in the world of the living and comments that Richter smells of burning, which he claims came from her. Watching closely, Alucard smiles, but is surprised by Drolta's screaming and groaning after losing all of Sekhmet's powers within her. Alucard then attacks Drolta only to be stabbed by his sword by her. Standing in the way of Drolta, Richter fights against her and is later assisted by Olrox in his serpent form. Pulling his sword from his body, Alucard gives it to Richter, who enchants it with his fire and Ice magic, making it transform into a claymore and using it to bifurcate Drolta and cancel out the eclipse.
Facing off against Olrox, Richter vows to one day kill him, but not that day and Olrox disappears in a misty smoke.
Maria is awoken by Juste, and they join Annette and Richter in admiring the rising sun, freeing the world being plunged from eternal darkness.
Afterward, Erzsebet's corpse is burned in a bonfire amongst the corpses of the vampire cult members corpses. Alucard watches this, and Juste asks where he was when he was young, citing his father and grandfather talked about him a lot when he was young. As if he was some favorite uncle. However, he only met him once when he was fourteen for three days, which Alucard notes he was traveling a lot. He also states that during that time, he was mainly in Japan and India, and he commented on how the world was changing and wanted to see it for himself. There was also the fact that he was tired of seeing Belmonts. Juste was surprised by this, and Alucard adds that he was also tired of Belmonts dying too. He then apologizes for not doing fun things with them in his youth, which Juste brushes off, stating Belmonts don't bother with childhoods.
From Richter's side, he had Annette over his shoulder, and she suggested that he treat his burns to prevent festering. Richter then asked what she'd do now, and Annette noted that she'd return home to continue fighting and offered him to come along. He smiled at the proposition.
Around dusk, Richter meets Maria at a fountain where the Bastille once stood, and Maria mentions that the Bastille's storming triggered the French Revolution. She talks about its history, but Richter changes the subject, mentioning that it's nice to bathe in the sunlight again and not worry about the dark. However, Maria notes that her mother would, prompting Richter to ask if she met her. Maria notes that she left, and follows it with to find herself, she then embraces Richter and tells him that she's staying in Paris to continue fighting. She then asks if Richter will stay there too, but he answers that he's going with Annette, which shocks her. As tears form in her eyes, Maria assures him it's alright, and they'll meet again. The two embrace again.
Elsewhere, Annette washes her face with a wet cloth from a fountain and is joined by Edouard, who claims they've completed what they've set out to do. Annette confirms it and notes that they'll return to Saint-Domingue, but Edouard wonders if there still is a place for him there. Although Annette confirms that there is, Edouard notes that he is a creature of nightmares; however, Annette argues the contrary and tries to coax him to agree.
Olrox carries the near-death Mizrak in his arms into a room and places him on a bed. Mizrak asks if he saw the Devil waiting for him, but Olrox denies it and says he was waiting for someone else. However, Mizrak notes that he'll still be waiting regardless. Reciting the torment he'd face by dying, Mizrak notes his fear of dying. Olrox assures Mizrak that there is no need to fear the devil, as he can be cheated. He then proceeds to bite into Mizrak's neck.
That night, Richter, Annette, Maria, Alucard, and Juste stand together. Richter notes how happy Juste must be to have his magic back, which he confirms, prompting a smart remark from Richter. Richter then apologizes to Alucard for the trouble he caused him. Alucard notes that it's been so long since he felt so young and that Richter and the rest have short lives and they should seize the day, and Richter agrees. Juste asks that he not waste a day of his life, and after hugging Maria goodbye, he gets onto a boat with Edouard and Annette. The three then watch Edouard row Annette and Richter away, and Maria stays behind and tearfully watches them.
From a field, Captain sits and gazes at the moon with a smile.
Alucard, Juste, and Maria walk onward. Juste notes that it's nice that the people of Paris are celebrating so well but notes the long fight they have going onward. Maria claims that not all forces are evil, and Juste asks if Maria is committed to fighting to the bitter end, which surprises Maria. Juste claims he'll stick around to help her, and Maria asks if Alucard intends to do the same, which Alucard takes a moment to pause and think it over. Alucard then claims he spent years alone, believing it was for the best. The other night, he discovered a new purpose that inspired him, and he wanted to see how that progressed. Alucard's words leave Maria speechless.
On Annette's side, she receives an aloe leaf from someone and gets on the ship with Edouard and Richter. There, Richter has his burns treated by Annette, using the aloe plant, and they talk about Richter's burns and Annette's time in the spirit realm. Annette mentions her mother and ancestors being there, but Richter isn't too keen on having his own ancestors watch over him, especially his mother. Annette then laughs, and the two share a kiss. After a brief back-and-forth with each other, they share another kiss.
As the ship continues onward, Edouard sings a song.
Back in Paris, Mizrak, now a vampire, feeds on Olrox while he lies in bed.
On the execution grounds, Maria and Alucard are joined by Juste, who arrives with a bread basket. Juste comments that the people who sided with the vampires are being executed. Alucard looks down at Maria, who clutches her loaf of bread and states that they deserve to die, which concerns Alucard. From the shadows of the crowd, Tera watches, and when the first person is executed, a smile forms on her face as Old Man Coyote places his hand on her shoulder and smiles at Maria's scorn toward the sympathizers. Richter and Annette are seen embracing each other as they sleep.

- - Drolta: "I did this for you. All of this, I did it for you."
- - Annette/Sekhmet: "Made yourself into this unclean thing. Filled my temple with atrocities. Fed my soul to a disgusting walking corpse."
- - Drolta: "So that you could live again! I thought it was you wanted. I thought it was you wanted."
- - Annette/Sekhmet: "It is time to balance the scales."
- - Drolta: "I thought it was what you wanted."
- - (Sekhmet absorb her esssence within Drolta which caused her immense pain in regaining her power as Richter holds her)
- - Richter: "No! You'll kill her Sekhmet. You'll kill Annette. I don't care about the world. I don't care if we live in eternal *** darkness. Leave her alone! Leave Annette alone!"
- - Alucard: (Placing a hand on Richter) "Richter. My friend. You know that's not what she'd want."
- - Richter: "Annette. Annette. Annette! You are so strong. From the moment I first saw, I knew you were strong... You saved my life from a night creature. I'd never seen night creatures before, and it had beaten me. I was a dead man, and you killed it."
- - Annette: "Richter!"
- - Richter: "Maria called me an ungrateful ***, and, as usual she was right. I was embarrassed. What a idiot. But now, I can't imagine the world without you, Annette. Any of it. Not hearing your voice, not seeing you roll your eyes at me, not waking up to that, whatever happens, somewhere, you are there. Please. Don't leave me."
- - Richter: "I will kill you, Olrox. One day. But not today."
- - Annette: "You smell of burning."
- - Richter: "Yeah, that would be you. You're like holding burning coals". (He embraces Annette)
- - Mizrak: "You've seen the devil then, waiting for me?"
- - Olrox: "Not the devil. No. And I think he was for someone else."
- - Mizrak: "Still, the devil will be waiting. An eternity of torment. Agony upon agony with no release. I'm afraid, Olrox."
- - Olrox: "There's no need to be afraid, my love. Not the devil, at least. The devil is easy to cheat."
- - Annette: "Thank you for guiding me home."
- - Richter: "That was my job. My job was to make sure you got back. When you were there, in the spirit world, did you see your mother?"
- - Annette: "Yes. She told me she was always here. She is always here still. Wherever I go, I'm surrounded by love. Protected by it."
- - Richter: "I should find that comforting, I suppose. But for some reason, I don't. I don't really want all my ancestors hanging around, watching me. Not even my mother. Probably especially not my mother" (The two lean in for a kiss)
- - Annette: (laughs) "What's the matter? Never kissed a girl before?"
- - Richter: "Of course I have. I mean, not lots of girls or anything. A few."
- - Annette: "Richter, you don't have to pretend to be a blushing choirboy"
- - Richter: "No. Good. Nor do you." (chuckling nervously) "Not that you'd be a choirboy, obviously. Or a choir girl. Uh, there don't seem to be many choir girls for some reason."
- - Annette: "Stop talking" (The two dive in for another kiss)
- - Juste: "I heard someone say they're executing people who fought alongside the vampire."
- - Maria: "Good. They deserve to die." (Alucard look at her with concern)
