"Alucart" is a play on the name Alucard. In several games, Alucard's equipment, which is among the best to be found, has the name "Alucard" in it. Obtaining an item with the name "Alucart" may initially elicit some excitement but ultimately lead to disappointment when it is realized that it is not the real thing. There are three pieces of Alucart gear: the Alucart Sword, Alucart Shield, and Alucart Mail, which correspond to the Alucard Sword, Alucard Shield, and Alucard Mail, respectively.

Castlevania: Symphony of the Night[]
In Symphony of the Night, Alucard loses all of his high-grade "Alucard" gear to Death early in the game. The player may then search the castle in hopes of retrieving it. The player may then find all of the "Alucart" gear hidden in an area above the clock room in the Marble Gallery, where Maria is first encountered. This area is behind the statue on the right side of the clock room; the statue will only move out of the way if the Stopwatch sub-weapon is used, and Alucard will also need the Double Jump ability to reach these rooms. This gear turns out to be mostly useless, though. While they don't have the worst statistics found in the game, they are likely well below what the player has already obtained by the time they find them. The player will also find that they don't have the special properties that the true Alucard gear has (such as the Alucard Sword's warping attack, the Alucard Shield's Shield Rod spell, or the Alucard Mail's resistance to Fire, Thunder, and Ice). On the other hand, Alucard gets a gigantic LCK boost of 30 by equipping all the Alucart gear. His name will then be replaced with "Alucart" in the pause menu screen.

Castlevania: Curse of Darkness[]
In Curse of Darkness, the Alucart Mail can be created via Weapon Combining by adding a Midas' Gold to a Half Plate, which significantly reduces its DEF. It is a "trap" combination devised to waste the extremely rare Midas' Gold and creating it should be avoided unless looking on acquiring a complete item set. Unfortunately, the real Alucard Mail is not obtainable in this game.

Castlevania Puzzle: Encore of the Night[]
In Encore of the Night, the "Alucart" gear is not so much useless, as it is early useful gear to have. Obtaining the gear is welcome, as it is most likely a little more powerful than what was being worn before. Getting all three pieces completes the Family Heirlooms set, which provides a Max HP boost of 30.
