The Alucart Sword is a cheap replica of the original Alucard Sword. It looks exactly like Alucard's family heirloom, but it has none of the original's strengths and abilities. Equipping the sword with the other family heirlooms replicas, the Alucart Shield and the Alucart Mail, usually gives a special bonus.

After Alucard obtains the Leap Stone, he must head for the giant clock room in the Marble Gallery, use a Stopwatch to stop time and enter a room that then becomes accessible. Finding the Alucart Sword, which looks just like the Alucard Sword, is likely to be a disappointment when the player is really hoping to find the sword that Death stole.
This sword is extremely weak, although it's also very fast in attack speed and possesses the same range as that of the real Alucard Sword. It does not have the Alucard Sword's special teleport attack move, though. However, when equipped alongside the Alucart Shield and Alucart Mail (which both also perform below average on their own), Alucard enters the "Alucart" status and gains a high Luck +30 bonus, which may make finding rare drop items easier. Compared to other handicapping swords, such as the Red Rust, Tyrfing or the simple Short Sword late in the game, this sword's speed, length and reliability makes it worth even without activating the Alucart status. The Alucart's luck bonus will also give Alucard a higher chance of scoring a Critical Hit.
The sword can be obtained much sooner than it is intended to, as transforming in midair and then transforming back into Alucard allows the player to drop kick the candle in the clock room and get the Alucart equipment early (the same method holds true to access the Colosseum early).
