Stage 3 is the third stage in Castlevania: The Arcade. It takes place in areas beneath Dracula's Castle and consists of the Underground, Lowest Floor, and the Underground Waterways.
Overview[]
Waking up from the long fall, there is a fusty smell and only darkness. It seems to be a dungeon in the castle. There are no signs that it has been used for a long time. However, it is easy to imagine the destiny of imprisoned criminals here. The air is damp and someone's aura can be felt on the skin. The souls of those who suffered violent deaths are still present.
The first Underground section is an old dungeon inhabited by the Specters and Skeletons of those who had been imprisoned there. Some skeletons can hop around and others can climb the ceiling. Beneath this area is the Underground Waterway, where the Minotaur is encountered. The area after that is infested with Mermen, followed by the Water Dragon end boss (which is assisted by Bats, Mermen and falling stalactites). After defeating the Water Dragon, the water drains, revealing a stairway that leads to the outer wall of the castle.
