Ascia is an axe glyph featured in Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia. It allows Shanoa to throw an axe into the air. It is very useful for taking out flying enemies like the Nominon, and it crosses through walls and floors, making it useful for reaching enemies in odd corners. It is similar to the Axe sub-weapon in the previous games. Vol Ascia is a medium axe glyph. Melio Ascia is the most powerful axe glyph. It launches axes in an arc downward. The effective range of the throw rises with each glyph, as does the area covered by the axes. Union Ascia is the Glyph Union of two Axe Glyphs.
In Castlevania Judgment, an overhead Ascia is used as the second attack in Shanoa's Moving Combo.
