Game specific information[]
Castlevania: Rondo of Blood/The Dracula X Chronicles[]
The Birthday Cake's first appearance was as a food item specific for Maria Renard in Rondo of Blood and later in The Dracula X Chronicles, both games where it appears as a gigantic birthday cake almost the size of a human.
Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin[]
The Birthday Cake in this game can only be bought at Vincent's shop on the day the player has registered their birthday to be on the Nintendo DS.
In the Dominus Collection re-release of the game, the item has been renamed to Sunday Cake and can be purchased whenever the console's date has been set to a Sunday.

Trivia[]
- The Birthday Cake in Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin restores 573 HP. This is actually an in-joke Konami uses in many of its games: "5" in Japanese is go, changed to the voiceless form ko; "7" in Japanese is nana, shortened to na; "3" in Japanese is mittsu, shortened to mi; "573" = ko-na-mi.[1]
