The Black Marble Gallery (卑鉱石の廊下 Hikōseki no Rōka?) is the Reverse Castle's version of the Marble Gallery. As the name implies, the colors here are of a darker orientation; dark greens prevail.

The area is host to numerous strange wheeled contraptions at floor-level, usually in pairs in pits and sometimes partially hidden by the foreground decorations, which will slam together quickly if Alucard sets foot on the platform in front of them. They inflict damage based on Alucard's current maximum HP in the same manner as all spikes in the game save the retractable ones in the Alchemy Laboratory, and are best dealt with by using the Mist Form or Bat Form to fly over them.

The Black Marble Gallery is connected to the Reverse Outer Wall to the left, the Reverse Entrance and Necromancy Laboratory to the right, Death Wing's Lair below, and the Reverse Caverns above. The theme music of this area is Finale Toccata.

Trivia[]

  • In versions of Symphony of the Night which use accumulated play time for in-game events and items (Sun/Moonstone), if the player runs the game time to its maximum of 99:59:59, the right statue (leading to Death Wing's Lair) will never open again (although the player can exit through that passage).
