Blade Serpent is an ability in Castlevania: Lament of Innocence and Castlevania: Curse of Darkness. It allows the user to cast a torrent of Daggers that form a serpent-like shape.

This spell, despite the minimal damage per hit of the Dagger, has both offensive and defensive capabilities - acting as a shield that protects the character from nearby enemies while damaging them for its duration.

Game specific informationEdit

Castlevania: Lament of InnocenceEdit

This is the skill that is used when the Dagger Sub-Weapon is combined with the effect of the Black Orb.

Castlevania: Curse of DarknessEdit

This ability is exclusively used in the Trevor Mode where one can play as Trevor Belmont. Along with the other Sub-Weapons, the player is able to use the Item Crash for the Dagger.

The special attack which costs 10 Hearts, allows Trevor to magically summon plenty of magically-levitating Daggers which form into a snake / whip-like shape that surrounds him. It can be used both offensively and defensively, as any enemies that come in contact with Trevor will immediately be damaged by the torrent of knives. It automatically locks on to the nearest enemy and will follow it for the duration of the spell. This lock-on also works for flying enemies such as Wyvern, Gaibon, and the like. Due to the continuous hits that it can deal to one enemy, this skill is beneficial against human bosses like the Doppelganger and Isaac.

It deals 10 damage per hit to regular enemies, but this gets reduced to 1 damage per hit against bosses. This ability is also useful in the elevator areas of the Eneomaos Machine Tower, capable of continuously hitting the pillars, allowing you to deal with the enemies without worrying about the movement of the elevator.
