The Blue Cape is a blue mid-tier cloak in the Castlevania series.
In Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (where it is called the Royal Cloak in the North American localization), it is the third most effective cloak. It gives a CON boost of 8, which is two more CON than a Crystal Cloak and one less CON than a Joseph's Cloak.
In Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin, the Blue Cape is the cape that in addition to the standard Defense Boost, it also gives an Intelligence boost. This is as opposed to the Elven Cape which instead also gives a Mind boost and the Assassin's Cape, which also gives an Attack boost. The Blue Cape gives the exact same statistical boost as the Holy Mantle does, except that the Holy Mantle costs twice as much ($20,000). It is outclassed by the Paludamentum, which gives a +5 boost of each.
In Castlevania: Harmony of Despair, the Blue Cape is the only cape that increases Intelligence (+1). It can otherwise be considered an upgrade to the more common Hero's Cape, giving the same amount of Fire and Ice Defense (+5), but 1 additional HP, MP, and DEF (+2 each).
The Velvet Cloak was the blue colored cloak in Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance.
