The Brilliant Mail (also called Shining Armor) is a strong armor in Castlevania that glows with light. In Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and Castlevania: Harmony of Despair, it also increases the effectiveness of sub-weapons. It is the counterpart to the Mojo Mail and the Dark Armor.

Castlevania: Symphony of the Night[]
The Brilliant Mail increases the effectiveness of sub-weapons. It also gives a DEF boost of +12 and an INT boost of +1. It does not give as much defense as its counterpart, the Mojo Mail, which gives +15 DEF, the same amount of INT, and increases magical powers. It gives one more DEF than the Holy Mail, the same as the Spike Breaker, and one less than the Fury Plate.
Castlevania: Circle of the Moon[]
The Shinning Armor[sic] is the overall best armor in the game. It is found in the final room of the Battle Arena, after the Devil is defeated. It outclasses the Needle Armor (+400 DEF, +10 STR). It does not give as much defense as its counterpart armor, the Dark Armor (+550), but it also gives a +10 STR, INT and LCK boost, while the Dark Armor reduces those stats by that same amount, so it is the better overall armor.
