When: After saving Maria (A young girl is falling from the ritual circle as Richter holds her up. Then the girl awakes)
???: Who are you, mister? A good guy? Richter: I am Richter Belmont, vampire hunter. And you are?
(The girl steps down to the ground) Maria: My name's Maria Renard. I heard all about you from Annette. I came here to beat some bad man, but I got caught. My family are vampire hunters, too. So, I guess that means we should be friends now. Richter: Sure. Friends.
(The two shake hands each other) Richter: But Maria, you're too young for this. You just let the big hunter here take of that bad man, okay? Maria: Oh, you don't know anything! I can handle this just fine!
(Richter laughs)
When: After saving Tera with Richter (In the Caves, Tera senses someone while praying and turns)
Tera: Who's there? Ah...
(Tera runs towards Richter) Richter: Um, excuse me. Tera: Oh! A guardian angel! Sent from heaven to rescue me. Richter: The path up to here is safe. Hurry back to the village. Understand? Tera: Pardon, but what is your name? Richter: (smiles) I'm Richter Belmont. The vampire hunter. Tera: Richer. Go with God's protection.
(Tera prays for Richter)
When: After saving Tera with Maria (In the Caves, Tera senses someone while praying and turns)
Tera: Who's there? Oh...
(Tera runs towards Maria) Maria: Sister... Tera: Surely you're help sent from heaven. You are an angel. Maria: Please hurry back to the village. And be careful. Tera: Wait, what's your name? Maria: (smiles) Maria Renard. Vampire hunter. Tera: Maria, I know God is watching over you.
(Tera prays for Maria)
Castlevania: Rondo of Blood / 4'. River / Saving Iris (Richter)
When: After saving Iris with Richter (Iris senses someone and turns)
Iris: Are you human? Did you come to save me? Richter: Yeah.
(Iris sees Richter's wounded arm) Iris: Oh, my. You're injured. Richter: Nah, I'm fine. This is nothing to make a fuss over. See you. Iris: Oh! Wait a minute! My father is a doctor.
(Iris tears off her dress and treats Richter's wounds) Iris: That should do it. Richter: Thank you. Iris: Oh, no. It's I who should be thanking you. Thank you very much. You're going further ahead, aren't you? Do be very careful.

When: After saving Iris with Maria (Iris senses someone and turns)
Iris: Oh, what's this? Come to save me? Maria: Uh-huh.
(Iris sees Maria's wounded arm) Iris: Oh, my. You're injured. Maria: Yeah. But I'm just fine. Uh-oh, you gotta run! See you! Iris: Wait! My father is a doctor.
(Iris tears off her dress and treats Maria's wounds) Iris: That should do it. Maria: Wow! Thank you so much, Miss! Iris: Oh, no. It's I who should be thanking you. Thank you. It's very dangerous here. Be careful.
Background Music: Annette's Fate When: Shortly after finishing Stage 5 (Dracula enters the room where Annette is imprisoned)
Dracula: Such a fine girl. Surely the blood of a beautiful woman will quench the thirst of my body!
(Annette holds her knife) Annette: Stay away from me! Dracula: (grins) What are you afraid of? In exchange for your blood, you can gain eternal life and beauty from me, can you not? Please, it's a simple matter. I get what I need, and you benefit as well. And then together, you and I shall reign over this world. Annette: If it means becoming a savage, I... I would sooner kill myself. Dracula: As you wish. (Annette grunts) However, what exactly makes me a savage? If my existence itself makes me savage, is that not the result of this world? Are not all the people of this age savages as well? If so, I should be a shining beacon for what this world wants me to be: the one to lead them. Do you not agree? Shaft: My lord count. Dracula: What is it? Shaft: There are intruders in the castle. Dracula: I see. Destiny can be quite fun at times. They've likely come to interfere. I hope you'll be in a better mood later.
(Dracula locks the door with laughter and disappears) Annette: Save me, Richter...
When: After saving Annette with Richter (Richter calls Annette)
Richter: Annette! Annette: Richter!
(Annette and Richter hugs together) Richter: You aren't hurt? Annette: No. Are you? Richter: Nah, I'm fine. I'm overflowing with the blood of the vampire hunter, after all. I need to let a little out once in a while. Annette: Oh, well then. Richter: You head back to village without me. I'm going ahead. It's time to end this 100-year blood feud. Annette: You mean... Richter: Yeah. I'm going to kill him myself. Annette: No, don't! It's too dangerous! Richter: But this is my destiny. Besides, his blood is calling to me. The path up to here is safe. Now get going!
(Richter takes his leave) Annette: Richter, wait! Richter! Come back... Come back in one piece... Please...
(Tears run down Annette's face)
When: After saving Annette with Maria (Maria calls Annette)
Maria: Annette! Annette: Oh, Maria!
(The two meets each other) Annette: Are you all right, Maria? Maria: Yeah. I'm just fine because I have the same vampire hunter's blood flowing in me as that man, Richter. I think he's fighting someplace else right now. Annette: Richter's coming. Maria: Oh, my. Looks like you hoped it wouldn't be me who came to save you. Annette: Oh, no. That's not what I meant. Thank you very much, Maria. (smiles) Come on, let's go home. Maria: Not yet! There's still something I have to do. You go back without me. I'm gonna beat that vampire to a bloody pulp! See you! Annette: Maria!
(Maria takes her leave) Annette: For heaven's sake, she can be as reckless as Richter!
Castlevania: Rondo of Blood / 8. Keep / Richter Ending
When: After defeating Dracula with Richter (Dracula is on his knees)
Dracula: Once again, the blood of Belmont has defeated me... Perhaps this, too, is part of my fate. Richter: Death to you! The world is not yours to exist in! Dracula: It is not by my own power that I am resurrected. It is a greed of humanity which calls me back. And thus, by might, I rule. Might becomes the one and only justice in this world! Richter: Of all the self-serving claptrap! The same basic faith drives all people to seek, to come together, to move forward. That surely can't be an evil thing! Dracula: And yet, here I am. Do you not have any desires? Richter: Well... Dracula: It is by your desires that you humans prosper. And it is your faith which has ruled you. Considering that, can you really call me evil? Richter: But people cannot be ruled by power alone! The sacred, the honorable, the loved... Those things can rule humanity. Something evil will eventually fall to ruin! Dracula: I see... Perhaps you're right. (laughs) We shall meet again, blood of Belmont!
(Dracula laughs at Richter and fades away as the castle starts to crumble)
Castlevania: Rondo of Blood / 8. Keep / Maria Ending
When: After defeating Dracula with Maria (Dracula is on his knees)
Dracula: Once again, the blood of Belmont has defeated me... Perhaps this, too, is part of my fate. Maria: It's your fault. For being so mean to everyone!
(The cat growls) Dracula: It is not by my own power that I am resurrected. It is a greed of humanity which calls me back. And thus, by might, I rule. Might becomes the one and only justice in this world! Maria: I don't understand what that means! No matter how complicated you make it, a bad thing is still bad thing! Dracula: So long as greedy humans exist, I shall be reborn. That's all you need to remember. (grins) You proved amusing to me. We shall meet again, blood of Belmont!
(Dracula laughs at Maria and fades away) Maria: What's he think is so funny?!
(The castle starts to collapse) Maria: Oh, it's crumbling! Everyone, run for it, quickly!
(Maria escapes from the castle with her familiars)
