In Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow, Chain Mail grants +25 Defense, which is one more than an Army Jacket and 3 less than an Aquarius.
In Castlevania: Curse of Darkness, Chain Mail is made from 2 Indigo Steels and has a Defense of +20. This surpasses the defense of the Brigandine (+18), but is surpassed when the Brigandine evolves into a Half Plate by adding Carbon Steel.
