For the "Rocking Chair" found in Curse of Darkness, see Chair.

In some games, there are objects that have no particular use, except that they allow either to modify the end of a game, or to extend it by a post-credit scene. Thus, they can be considered as a side quest.

Castlevania LegendsEdit

The Collected Items are actually the five original Sub-Weapons that Sonia Belmont will hand them down to her descendants for future use. She is not able to actually use these weapons herself in the course of the game.

They are hidden in candles in each stage. The length of the ending of the game increases the more collected items that she finds. If she collects all five, she has succeeded in her destiny as a matriarch of the Belmont Clan, and her ending depicts her giving birth to a future Belmont warrior (presumed to be Trevor Belmont). These items are also used as symbols used in game save passwords.

Castlevania: Harmony of DissonanceEdit

The Collectibles are completely unrelated to the progression of the game. They can be displayed in a special room of the Castle Treasury (Castle A and B), set aside for viewing. If all collectibles are found and placed in the room, a special scene where Lydie holds Juste's arm will take place during the final cutscene of the game.

TriviaEdit

  • The Wizard's Urn's description in Harmony of Dissonance states that staring at this urn tends to induce sneezing. This may be a reference to an anime series made by Tatsunoko Production, called The Genie Family. Coincidentally, this urn also looks similar to the one in the series.
  • The room that Juste decorates with collectibles was a scrapped idea from Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, according to Koji Igarashi on an interview. The room would have been located at the top of the Outer Wall.
