Combat Knife

The Combat Knife is a melee dagger in the Castlevania series. It is a military-issue knife designed for close-quarters combat.

Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow

The Combat Knife has a high damage stat for a weapon that can be found quite early in the game. It is rarely dropped by the Zombie Soldier, commonly dropped by the Zombie Officer, and even sold by Hammer for 1,000G as part of his initial stock.

It is a hard drop to acquire, though, and will most likely take many kills before it is obtained. Nevertheless, it might be well worth the attempt, as it notably surpasses in power other similar weapons (like the Baselard and Cutall). In addition, due to the fast stabbing nature of this type of weapons, the player can attack in quick succession, which may traduce in being able to deal even greater damage in a shorter period of time than more powerful but slower weapons.

Due to this, the Combat Knife can be very useful in the early stages of the game, and will only start to become outclassed by other weapons around the point when the player reaches the Dance Hall.
