Dabi's Path (ダビの地下道 Dabi no Chikadō - Underground Path of Dabi?) is a location in Castlevania II: Simon's Quest. It is the first underground location found in the game and one of two paths that go underneath the Borgia Mountains. The lower portion is just beyond the Town of Veros, while the upper portion is just beyond the Denis Woods. Beyond this path lies the Aljiba Woods. In addition to Skeletons and Bats, the caves are the first place where Ghostly Eyeballs are encountered.

On the east section is a hidden area below the main path that can be entered using Holy Water. Using Holy Water again on the wall to the far left reveals the Sacred Flame sub-weapon. The marsh depicted in this stage may be an extension of the Denis Marsh.

Other appearances[]

Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse[]

Dabi's Path, along with the Lower Road, appears to be the inspiration for the Underground Passage of Dracula's Curse. The Japanese version of that stage also features red blood on the walls, possible blood drips, and spikes hanging from the ceiling.

Super Castlevania IV[]

The Dungeon of Super Castlevania IV was inspired by the Underground Passage, which was inspired by Dabi's Path. In addition, the Dungeon has pools of blood similar to the red poisonous marsh in the cave, which is probably blood due to it's more red color than other poison marsh areas. Both pools cause damage when touched.
