Dawn Lightning, also called Thunderbolt, Lightning Bolt when using a Fulgur glyph, and Lightning Strike, is a signature attack of the Thunder Demon. The demon summons a giant orb of lightning in its arms which then heads toward its enemy. Players can gain acquire this spell in several games. When used by a player, a quickly growing ball of lightning expands from the extended hands, which then travels across the screen slowly.

Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia[]
This attack can be gained from the Fulgur Glyph (Tonitrus in the Japanese version) that can be absorbed from the Thunder Demon in Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia. Shanoa calls the related spell Lightning Bolt in voice when she casts it. This glyph can perform Fulgur Glyph Unions.
Castlevania Judgment[]
In the 3D versus game Castlevania Judgment, Sypha Belnades generates a single Lightning Orb in her Lightning Strike spell. This is a very large sphere, however, and takes a while to charge. Once the sphere has been created and released, it's possible to "steer" the path of the sphere with the analog controller toward an opponent.
Castlevania: Harmony of Despair[]
In Castlevania: Harmony of Despair, Charlotte Aulin can absorb this spell (called Thunder Bolt) from the Thunder Demon. Soma Cruz can also use this spell after stealing the Thunder Demon's soul. When leveled up, the distance that it travels increases. Shanoa is unable to use this spell in this game.
Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls[]
Variations of this attack are available to Shanoa as Weapon Skills attached to her Glyphs in Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls. Dawn Lightning I is the base version of the attack and moves relatively quickly across and then off the screen. Dawn Lightning II is a more powerful version and moves partway across the screen and then lingers for a while before disappearing. Dawn of Holy Light is a Holy counterpart to this skill.
