Divine Bloodlines (乾坤の血族, Kenkon no Ketsuzoku^?, lit. "Blood Relations of Heaven and Earth"), also commonly known as Divine Bloodline, Blood Relations and Overture among some other names, is a music theme composed by Akira Sōji (Akiropito) originally introduced in the 1993 NEC PC Engine game Castlevania: Rondo of Blood as the background theme for Stage 1, as well as the background theme for Stage 1 in the 1995 Super NES remake/reimagining Castlevania: Dracula X.

This theme was remixed for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as a Castlevania track. A symphonic rock orchestral arrangement of this theme also appears in the Castlevania: Nocturne animated series by Netflix.

Variations

There are five major variations of Divine Bloodlines:

• Overture, which comes with a faster tempo, is the music for the intro animation before Stage 0 in the game. It is marked as Richter Belmont's theme in the soundtrack.
• Ending theme of Castlevania: Dracula X.
• "The Outcasts" (異形の血族, Igyō no Ketsuzoku^?, lit. "Monstrous Blood Relations"), which was introduced in the 1997 Sony PlayStation game Castlevania: Symphony of the Night as the music for the battle against Richter Belmont. In The Dracula X Chronicles version, the song also plays during the battle against Maria Renard. This version is arranged by Michiru Yamane and is also known as "Strange Bloodlines" or "Blood Relations".
• "Sign of Blood Relationship" (血脈の印, Ketsumyaku no Shirushi^?), which was introduced in the 1999 Nintendo 64 game Castlevania as the intro music of the game.
• "Bloodlines Bequeathed" (-継承- 乾坤の血族, Keisyō Kenkon no Ketsuzoku^?, lit. "The Succession: Blood Relations of Heaven and Earth"), which was introduced in the 2006 Nintendo DS game Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin as the music for the battle against the Whip's Memory.
