"Master of the evil castle, this legendary Prince of Darkness undertook a transmigration from his human body and, in so doing, came into a magic ability powerful beyond imagination."
— Description from the Castlevania Legends instruction booklet

Dracula (ドラキュラ Dorakyura?) (real name Vlad Țepeș Dracula)[1] is the main antagonist of Castlevania Legends. He is the master of his own demonic castle. He holds great magic power and rules the Dark World as Prince of Darkness.[2]

History[]

In 1431, Dracula made a pact with an evil deity who granted him his dark powers. He then used his newly gained powers to conquer the nations of Europe. His son Alucard did not support these actions and abandoned him.[1]

He would eventually encounter Sonia Belmont and was impressed, as she was the first human who managed to challenge him directly. First he tried to get her to his side but to no avail. The Count then engaged with her in a battle to the death but was eventually defeated. This was not the end for him, however, as he vowed to return as long as there would be evil in the world.
