Dracula is the main antagonist in the graphic novel Castlevania: The Belmont Legacy, published by IDW.
History[]
Dracula possesses a profound resentment toward the Belmont Family. Sona Bartley was responsible of resurrecting him, becoming his servant afterward. Her loyalty goes to the extreme of even allowing being abused by him without protest.
At one point, Dracula vandalizes the Belmont's family mausoleum. Despite his hate toward the family, however, he develops a disgusting infatuation on Illyana, Christopher Belmont's newly wed wife, and ends up kidnapping her.
Dracula's cruelty is evidenced in the novel with acts such as his previous victims being displayed beneath his lair, destroying Pascha Totoyan's family and abusing Sona.
He's ultimately defeated by Christopher at the end of the novel, although he manages to hide his power inside of Illyana's womb before dying, where his spirit remains dormant inside their yet unborn son until the day of his coming of age.
