Drop is a statistic in the Castlevania series. Certain enemies will leave behind items, weapons or food when defeated - these are listed in gaming guides as "Drops". The chances of an enemy dropping an item vary from creature to creature, and from game to game.
Many enemies in more recent games will have two drops: one common drop and also a rare drop. The odds of obtaining a rare drop item or weapon are different for each enemy creature and seem to rely on chance for the most part. For example, one player may obtain the rare Crissaegrim sword after defeating only a few Schmoos in Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, while another might have to run back and forth many times killing the ghosts in order to obtain the rare drop.
