The Entrance Basement (unofficial term, normally referred to as the Chikashitsu (地下室, lit. "Underground Chamber") in Japanese) is a flooded underground section of the Entrance and Hall Corridors. It is usually infested with Fish Men and may contain a prison cell. In some games, they are also connected to the Caves.
