Eyeball monsters of many varieties have appeared in many Castlevania games. Depending on the game they appear in, they may come in many forms and shapes, as well as having different abilities and attack methods.

Description

The Ghostly Eyeball from Simon's Quest floats slowly through the air toward the player, similar to the Ghosts from other Castlevania games.

Big Eyeballs (plain eyeballs which bounce and/or roll) appear in Haunted Castle (where they bounce), Castlevania: The Adventure, Belmont's Revenge and The Adventure ReBirth.

A floating lidded Fire Eye moves along a horizontal line and drips acid tears over the player. It appears in Dracula's Curse (where it is also called a "Big Eye") and Super Castlevania IV.

The most common eyeball monster found in modern games is the Peeping Eye, and its variant, the Bugbear. These are eyeballs with lids and long retina chains which float about and home toward the player.

Particularly, large eye monsters include the Peeping Big and Dogether.

Symphony of the Night featured a giant eyeball that looked from outside a window in the Marble Gallery, although it's never fought.
