Gaibon Familiar is a Guardian Soul in Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow. It can be obtained by gaining dominance over Gaibon's soul. It allows Soma to summon a Gaibon ally as a familiar.
Characteristics[]
When in proximity to an enemy, the Gaibon familiar will screech and his body will flash just before launching himself toward it. While dashing, he'll also deal damage to all enemies in the way. He will stop moving and dealing damage right after hitting its target.
Gaibon can also be controlled with the stylus; holding it on the touchscreen for more than two seconds will make him attack said area. He'll not respond to the stylus commands if there are still enemies in the area to attack.
Gaibon's soul also has an interaction with Slogra's soul, Magic Spear Throw, which allows him to hurl a second spear every time Soma throws one; however, he will not use this ability while actively attacking on his own.
During the first phase of the boss fight against Soma in Julius Mode, Soma utilizes a Gaibon Familiar throughout the fight.
