The Foil is the most basic and weakest form of the fencing style swords in Castlevania: Curse of Darkness. in reality, this is a practice weapon, and thus is not very strong, however it gives you an idea of how these weapons work, and is one of the few alternative weapons you have in the game prior to exiting the abandoned castle for the first time.
