The French Doll is an enemy in the Castlevania series. It is a creepy possessed doll that floats in the air.

Castlevania Chronicles
The first French Dolls in the series appeared in the Floating Corridor (Block 6) of Castlevania Chronicles. They are initially encountered lying on the floor, but as the player approaches, they stand up, perform a reverence and start floating around making some unpredictable movements. They sometimes dash backward to avoid being hit.

Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow / Castlevania: Harmony of Despair
French Dolls later appeared as enemies that are fought during the battle with the Puppet Master in Dawn of Sorrow and Harmony of Despair. The Puppet Master can vomit an infinite number of French Dolls from his mouth. If the player is not careful, they can overwhelm them with their numbers, although their main purpose is to distract the player from the Puppet Master's main attack, which consists in placing a puppet inside an iron maiden and then switching it with the player.
