The Frost Demon, or Ice Demon, is an enemy in the Castlevania series. It is a frozen demon with total command of cold. Freezes anything in its path with blasts of ice.
Appearances[]
Castlevania: Circle of the Moon[]
Only two Ice Demons are encountered in the game, both in the Underground Waterway, each one guarding one of the longest ducts of that area's second section. They are very dangerous enemies that can kill the player in just a few attacks.
They first will hover in place and summon big chunks of ice that will start raining in Nathan's direction. If he is hit by any of these, he will immediately become frozen, with his defenses severely reduced and unable to evade the remaining projectiles, potentially being able to be killed in just one attack.
Throw a couple of Crucifixes at the demon or summon a monster while it is casting its attack, and prioritize evasion above everything once it starts.

Castlevania: Lament of Innocence[]
The appearance of the enemy changes greatly in comparison to his previous appearance: he has a head and wings of an eagle and has hooves instead of claws on his feet.
He has three attacks:
- Get off the ground and attack the player with claws. The player can take advantage of this moment to parry this attack in order to regain MPs.
- Spit two or three iceballs on the player.
- Summon three ice peaks to the ground at the player's location.

Castlevania: Curse of Darkness[]
The Frost Demon's appearance changes one again from previous incarnations. Its body is now more muscular and has mysterious tattoos all over it. Its head resembles that of a ram, its hands become clawed, and its wings resemble those of a bat. Also, it doesn't have as many attacks; it can only hit the player with its claws and summon a ray of ice in their direction.
It only appears in the Tower of Eternity and the Tower of Evermore, being the only enemy that doesn't appear in any of the main areas of the game.
