- For the bat boss called Gobanz in Japan, see Death Bat.
Gobanz is the first boss of Castlevania: The Adventure, an armored creature with a harpoon. It also appears as a normal enemy in the last stage of the game. The Game Boy Nintendo Player's Guide simply refers to him as "The Giant". It is possibly the same type of creature in armor as the Iron Doll from Castlevania II: Belmont's Revenge.
