Gold Plate

The Gold Plate is a breastplate made of Gold (sometimes called Gold Armor). It is usually between a Silver Plate and Platinum Plate in effectiveness.

The Gold Plate in Castlevania: Symphony of the Night grants +8 Defense. This is 2 more than a Silver Plate, and 2 less than Platinum Mail. It is also the same amount of defense that three of the elemental armors, Dark Armor, Lightning Mail, and Ice Mail, give.

In Castlevania: Circle of the Moon, Gold Armor gives +80 Defense, which is more than Bronze Armor (+50) and less than Chain Mail (+100).

In Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow, the Gold Plate grants +38 Defense, which is 3 more than the Silver Plate and 7 less than the Eversing.

In Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin, a Gold Plate gives Jonathan +25 Defense, which is 7 more than a Silver Plate and 20 less than a Platinum Plate.

In Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia is grants Defense +40, which is 12 greater than a Silver Plate, but less that Platinum Armor (+55). It can be obtained by completing Eugen's Work of the Finest Quality quest by giving him 3 Gold Ores. This also makes available Gold Leggings, Platinum Plate, and Platinum Leggings.
