The Golden Knight is a knight clad in golden armor. In some games, the Axe Armor, or even the Final Guard, the most powerful knight type enemy, appears as a golden knight.

In Vampire Killer, the Axe Man is portrayed as a golden knight. Likewise, in Castlevania Chronicles, the Axe Armor also appears as a golden knight, although he is given distinct spiked shoulder pads and a horned helmet.
The Final Guard in Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (known as "Guardian" in that game) and Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow wears golden armor.
Golden Hell Knights wielding long swords and pikes appear in Castlevania 64 and Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness, which also come in Copper and Silver varieties.
A unique Golden Knight wielding a halberd and greatshield appears in Castlevania: Lament of Innocence. This enemy is implemented in the tutorial at the Castle Entrance and it is mandatory to defeat him in order to continue with the game. He is invulnerable to non-magical attacks, and his role is to teach the player usage of relics and MP gathering and management. More Golden Knights appear in a couple of other areas in Crazy mode.
