The Human Face Tree is an enemy in the Saturn version of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. This humanoid tree is always smiling due to its fruitful, human-faced results.

The Jinmenju (人面樹 Human-face tree?) is a strange tree illustrated in Toriyama Sekien's Konjaku Hyakki Shūi. The tree is said to be found in remote valleys from the south of Japan and China.
The fruit of the tree looks like a human head. It doesn't say a word but it is constantly laughing. It is said that if the fruit laughs too heartily, it falls from the tree.
It is somewhat similar to the Persian waqwaq tree, another human-like tree.
Description[]
A fruit tree from Hell. It appears in the Underground Garden stages in the Sega Saturn version of Symphony of the Night. Its fruits will instantly kill anyone who eats them, and the tree will kill anyone who tries to kill it as well.
It attacks by launching its fruit at the player. Upon defeat, it sheds all of its leaves, drops its fruit, and turns pale.
