Intelligence (commonly abbreviated as INT) is a statistic found in the Castlevania series. It indicates the strength of magic, that is, how powerful or efficient a cast spell will perform. However, in Circle of the Moon, Intelligence determines how quickly Nathan recovers MP per second. This rate is equal to 1/100 of his Intelligence, rounded down in the case of a fraction. So at 500 Intelligence, he would recover 5 MP/second, but since it rounds, at 490 Intelligence, he would recover 4 MP/second instead.

Intelligence, commonly abbreviated as INT, is a statistic found in the Castlevania series. In most of the games it appears in, Intelligence indicates the strength of sub-weaponry, magic attacks, and similar means. A general rule of thumb, although not always the case, is that if an attack uses up Hearts or MP and/or does not make use of the hero's primary weaponry, it receives a damage bonus from Intelligence.

Game specific information

Castlevania: Symphony of the Night

  • Attacks made by Alucard that do not make use of his equipped weapons deal 1 more point of damage for every two points in his Intelligence.

Castlevania: Circle of the Moon

  • Unlike the rest of the games in which this stat makes an appearance in, Intelligence primarily determines how much MP Nathan regenerates per second of in-game time. The rate of this regeneration is equal to 1/100th of his total Intelligence. If the result ends in a fraction, it is rounded down.
    • An exception to the rounding down rule is if Nathan's Intelligence is below 100, as in this case, rounding down would make him unable to regenerate MP at all otherwise.
