The Jewel of Open, also called Unlock Jewel (アンロックジュエル Anrokku Jueru?) in the Japanese version, essentially acts like a key that can open blue magically sealed doors in Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and Castlevania Puzzle: Encore of the Night. It can be purchased from the Master Librarian. Richter and Maria do not need to have the Jewel of Open in order to open these sealed doors.
The item appears again in Castlevania: Lament of Innocence as the Unlock Jewel (though not as a relic) that is used to unlock the sealed door to the Prison of Eternal Torture.
