A Lesser Vampire is a low class vampire that was once human until it was turned by another vampire.

Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles[]
If Richter Belmont or Maria Renard fail to rescue all of the trapped girls (including Annette), Annette will be turned into a Lesser Vampire and must be fought and killed as the end boss of Stage 7, replacing Shaft Ghost.
However, a Lesser Vampire sharing the vampirized Annette's appearance and voice still appears as a miniboss for Stage 5', instead of being fought at the clock tower in Shaft Ghost's place, even if Annette and the other kidnapped maidens were rescued. The Lesser Vampire can be accessed by a hidden series of descending stairs near the ground in Stage 5'-'s upper path of the last half of the stage.
Battle[]
Lesser Vampire summons multiple swarms of bats to surround her, making her immune to attacks. Very little weapons can penetrate the Bat defense, and those that do will not inflict any damage on her. She hovers near one side of the room. When she calls out an attack, the bats will take up their position to perform a powerful hitting attack. When the bats leave to attack the hero is also when the shield formation dissipates, leaving the Lesser Vampire vulnerable to damage. The hero must avoid the bat attack whilst looking for an opening to retaliate attack. Once the bat swarm attack concludes, the Lesser Vampire will call back the bats to return to shield formation. The Lesser Vampire may fly directly to the other side of the room on some occasions. Her attacks are as follows:
- Bats will rise high into the air offscreen. They return in a spread of six lines as they bombard through the floor. There are small openings between the row of bats that the hero can stay safe in.
- In a similar fashion, the bats will fly high upward offscreen. Soon, they then bombard toward the floor directly at a player's last known location.
- The Bats will take up three separate triangular positions around Lesser Vampire. The frontward triangle group will quickly fly outward attempting to reach the hero's last known position. After the bats reach a specific distance, they retract like a boomerang.
- The circle of bats will fly outward into a spiral fashion. There are small gaps in-between the spiral.
Once defeated, her bats all burn up as she slowly falls to the ground, eventually fading away.

Annette's Lesser Vampire form reappears in this pachinko adaptation of the series.
Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls[]
A grimoire version of Annette appeared in the sixth chapter of the storyline. Due to Hermina's rewriting, she was possessed by Carmilla until Richter and younger Maria freed her from the vampire's corruption after they defeated her. After being freed, she felt remorseful for hurting Richter and Maria and asked them for forgiveness. Richter assured that he's happy to have saved her and she wished him to be safe as he carries on with his mission.
In the ensuing boss fight, the player fights her in both her standard appearance and in her Lesser Vampire form. During the first phase, she utilizes a similar moveset to that of Laura due to essentially serving the same role as her from the original game. In the second phase, she incorporates her movesets from The Dracula X Chronicles.
