Mansions, Manors and Villas are recurring environments in the Castlevania series. They are large dwelling houses with a historical background. The lord of the mansion is sometimes mentioned throughout the course of the game and in some cases fought in a monsterized form as the stage's boss.

Castlevania II: Simon's Quest[]
Five mansions appeared in Castlevania II: Simon's Quest. Each one housed one of Dracula's Relics. In order to obtain these relics, an Oak Stake must be purchased from a Gypsy in the mansion for 50 Hearts. These relics will give a new benefit. The entryway to Dracula's Castle can only be entered when all five of these relics have been obtained.
