A Medal is a type of accessory that appears in Castlevania. It first appears in Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, where it increases both attack and defense by 1. It can be "awarded" as a drop item for defeating a tough Owl Knight at the beginning of the Entrance stage before Alucard levels up.
In Castlevania Puzzle: Encore of the Night, the Medal is given as a reward for defeating the game's first boss, Gaibon.
