The Medusa Familiar can be summoned by combining the Saturn card with the Cockatrice card. It functions very similarly to the Bat Familiar, although it hovers up and down behind Nathan rather than in a zigzag pattern, and spews rocks forward instead of fireballs. These rocks have a chance to petrify enemies on contact; this is not random, however, and enemies will only be petrified if their HP is below 25%.

Shanoa can absorb the Fidelis Medusa glyph after defeating the Gorgon Head (gray Medusa Head). The glyph has a 100% drop rate, so it is assured to be obtained with each kill. With it, Shanoa will be able to summon Gorgon Heads that will surround her and turn some enemies into stone when hit. This pattern is similar to the Projectile Circle found in other games.
