- For mirror items and enemies in the original timeline, see Mirror.

Several types of magic mirrors with different properties are featured in the Castlevania animated series.
Possible origins[]
The inspiration for these mirrors can be diverse; the transmission mirror could be inspired by one of the properties of the Mirror of Fate from the Lords of Shadow games, which transported Gabriel Belmont to the Bones Forest.
As for the distance mirror, it could be inspired by the Magic Mirror of the fairy tale Snow White by the Brothers Grimm. In the plot, the magic mirror can answer the questions asked by the Evil Queen.
Communication and transportation properties of these magic mirrors also resemble megascopes in The Witcher series, and trumps in The Chronicles of Amber.
Types of mirrors[]
Large mirrors are made of multiple shards that are initially found floating around the room and that come together when the user wishes to utilize the mirror. Similar shards can also be individually found in the possession of various individuals throughout the Romanian countryside. These smaller shards are generally kept in specially designed boxes when the mirror is not in use.
To date, there have been three varieties of magic mirrors that have appeared in the series, each having its own properties: communication, transmission, and distance.
Communication mirror[]
The communication mirror is used to communicate with others at a distance. Depending on the power of the mirror (or its user), it's also possible to partially physically manifest on the other end by employing elements present in the latter. To date, only Dracula has been seen capable to do this, such as when he manifested the visage of his face in the flames of the fire used to burn his wife.
Transmission mirror[]
The transmission mirror can serve as a portal that can transport someone over a vast distance in an instant. A larger transmission mirror can teleport more people at once.
The one possessed by Dracula belonged to "Carpathian scrying hermits" 400 years ago, according to him. He is seen using it twice, once to throw a sheet in a forest (for unknown reasons), and again to save Isaac by sending him to a desert while the latter was attempting to defend him with his life.
Another similar mirror was held by the Magician before he was killed by Isaac. Isaac used it to transport his demon army to Styria to attack Carmilla's Castle. The Magician's mirror is the largest magic mirror seen to date.
Distance mirror[]
A distance mirror is capable of viewing things from a distance, providing answers to the user's questions, and locating what the user wishes to find. It can also receive communications from other magic mirrors. Some even allow matter to pass through them.
There is one in the Belmont Hold, which Alucard and Sypha use to locate Dracula's castle and take control of his teleportation mechanism (destroying said mechanism in the process). The Shopkeeper from Tunis had a smaller one, which he gifted to Isaac, who used it to find Hector. Isaac's mirror is very prideful and it only obeys the user if it's called "sir".
