Nikolai (神父ニコライ Shinbu Nikorai?, lit. "Father Nikolai") is a supporting character in Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia. He is one of Wygol's villagers and a distant descendant of the Belmont Clan. He is the founder of Wygol Village.
History[]
Commonly referred to as "Father" by the town villagers, Nikolai is the founder of Wygol Village in Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia. He cares for nothing more than the villagers' happiness and will often offer guidance to Shanoa throughout the events that take place in the game.
He won't give her any quests; however, he will reward her with the Master Ring in gratitude once she has completed all of the villagers' quests; that is, when she has fulfilled all of their hopes and dreams.
Location[]
Shanoa meets Father Nikolai on her first visit to Wygol Village (which is unlocked on the map after completing the Monastery). On arrival, Shanoa finds the town deserted, sans for what appears to be an elderly man trapped inside a prison of yellowish colored crystals. Recognizing the symbol that is floating above it as a magical glyph left by Albus, she proceeds to absorb it, which results in freeing the still living man inside.
Without even introducing himself, he informs Shanoa that a man spirited away the twelve other villagers and then imprisoned him. Having no time to waste, Shanoa immediately continues her search for Albus.
Nikolai will remain at the same location during the rest of the game, and Shanoa can keep visiting him for hints on where to go next or for his insight about the current situation.
