The Old Woman is a type of Villager found in Castlevania II: Simon's Quest.
Description[]
Old Women are always found indoors. Like some merchants, they often appear in what seem to be empty homes, but can be found in either the basement or an adjacent hidden room and reached by using Holy Water to break either the floor or wall.
They may be inspired by the Old Crone from Vampire Killer (who has the same name in Japanese) or represent the same character. There are four Old Women found throughout the game, although it is possible this is actually the same Old Woman who has several hiding places in several towns in the game, similar to the character from Vampire Killer.

Trivia[]
- Possibly the most memorable Old Woman is the one who lives in the otherwise abandoned town nearest to the ruins of Dracula's Castle, Ghulash. This Old Woman may have partially inspired the character Miranda in the Castlevania animated series.
