Omnia Vanitas (Latin for "All is Vanity") (色即是空 Shikisokuzekū?, Japanese for "All is nothing, nothing is all") is an evading technique used by Julius Belmont in Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow and Castlevania: Harmony of Despair.
Description[]
When Julius Belmont uses Omnia Vanitas, he becomes invincible and travels a large distance forward, turning around while performing it. He can pass through enemies without being harmed this way. It also allows him to pass through the various firewalls that block chests and passages unharmed.
In Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow, this technique is required in order to pass through the waterfall to access the Forbidden Area. It's also possible to perform Omnia Vanitas in the air once continuing the previous one. In this case, Julius lifts his leg slightly higher than when he uses it on the ground.

Trivia[]
- Even though Julius can perform a second Omnia Vanitas while in midair after continuing a previous one in Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow, he cannot do this in Harmony of Despair.
- Shikisokuzekū is a mantra that is part of a Buddhist sutra called, the "Heart Sutra". Gautama Buddha recited this mantra the exact moment he achieved enlightenment to defeat Mara; this made him immune to all evil when reciting it.
- The second half of the mantra, Kūsokuzeshiki (空即是色), is used for Zangetsu's own evasion technique in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, as an homage to his similarities to Julius.
- Shikisokuzekū is also considered to be the fundamental doctrine of Buddhism. It is the basic Buddhist doctrine that all things in this world exist through causation, without any permanent substance.
