Ondol (オンドルの町, Ondoru no Machi^?, lit. "Town of Ondol") is a location in Castlevania II: Simon's Quest. It is a town located in the northwest part of Transylvania.

Overview

Ondol is a town in the northwest part of Transylvania. It is most important for having a shop where the player can purchase the Morning Star whip (200 Hearts), although it does not have a church in it. It can be reached from the upper path of Sadam Woods. Beyond it lies the northern section of the Jam Wasteland and Deborah Cliff.

• For many years, this town was widely known in English as "Oldon" (a possible pun on the word "old"). It is currently unknown the source of this unofficial name, but it is suspected that it was made-up by the author of a guide for Castlevania II: Simon's Quest and that the information contained in it spread out to other English websites during the early days of the internet.
