Platinum Plate (also called Platinum Mail or Platinum Armor) and is a high grade armor made of platinum. It is generally stronger than a Gold Plate, but weaker than a Diamond Plate.
In Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Platinum Mail grants +10 Defense, which is two more than the Gold Plate, but 3 less than the Diamond Plate.
In Castlevania: Circle of the Moon, Platinum Armor gives +150 Defense, which is more than Steel Armor (+120), but less than Diamond Armor (+210).
In Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin, the Platinum Plate gives +45 Defense, which is the strongest suit of armor found in the game that also does not sacrifice mobility. This is more than a Gold Plate (+25).
In Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia the Platinum Plate grants Defence +55, which is the strongest armor in the game that focuses on physical protection, compared to the Gold Plate's +40. It is made available at the shop by performing Eugen's Work of the Finest Quality quest by giving him 3 Gold Ores. This also makes available Gold Leggings, Gold Plate, and Platinum Leggings.
