The Poltergeist King is a mentioned character in Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse. He guards the Belmont family's sacred weapons until they are needed again.

An animated version of him appeared later in Captain N: The Game Master TV series.

Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse[]

The Poltergeist King is only referenced in the English instruction booklet for Dracula's Curse,[1] where it is mentioned that it was him who gave Trevor Belmont the Mystic Whip and all his sub-weapons. He was never actually mentioned in the original Japanese instruction booklet, thus his inclusion is considered non-canonical.

Captain N: The Game Master[]

The Poltergeist King has a prominent role in episode 29, "Return to Castlevania". In it, Simon Belmont is about to be bestowed an honor by the Poltergeist King for being a worthy hero like his great-grandfather, Trevor. However, the Count kidnaps the Poltergeist King previous to the event and takes his form, accusing Simon's ancestor during the celebration day of taking false credit for his slaying of the Count (himself) many years ago.

In one scene, the Poltergeist King (or rather, the Count in disguise), appears as a whirlwind. This suggests that, according to the Captain N universe, the Poltergeist King may have been responsible for the tornado that helped Simon Belmont to get around the Deborah Cliff in Castlevania II: Simon's Quest.
