The Priest is a supporting character in Castlevania II: Simon's Quest. He allows Simon Belmont to rest and heal up at the church.
Description[]
Priests in Castlevania II: Simon's Quest are holy men who allow Simon Belmont to rest and heal up his wounds at the various churches found in most towns. They can be found in the towns of Aldra, Doina, Jova and Veros, which are the only ones that count with a church.
As with the rest of the villagers in the game, they will lock themselves up at night and will only resume providing their services once the sun has risen again.

Trivia[]
- A ghostly priest can be found in the Royal Chapel in Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, and interacting with him in the confessional booth has him either attacking Alucard or supplying him with a Grape Juice (Wine in the Japanese version).
- The blue colored priest that gives him wine speaks dialogue in some versions of the game in voice. In Japanese, the dialogue matches that of the priest in Simon's Quest.
- A line was recorded by Dennis Falt for the original English release of the game but not used: "Come son, rest here. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen."
- The line was rerecorded by Tony Oliver for The Dracula X Chronicles port of the game (as well as versions based on it) and used in the English version: "Rest your weary soul here. May the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost be with you. Amen."
- The blue colored priest that gives him wine speaks dialogue in some versions of the game in voice. In Japanese, the dialogue matches that of the priest in Simon's Quest.
- Barlowe, one of the main characters in Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia, appears to be designed after the priests from Simon's Quest.
