Pumpkin is a secret character in Castlevania: Lament of Innocence. It can be unlocked by completing Joachim Mode.
Gameplay[]
Pumpkin has a special sub-weapon, named after none other than itself. For some reason, Death cannot repel Pumpkin's sub-weapon, making it the only sub-weapon in the game that can be used against him. Like many of the secret playable characters in Koji Igarashi's Castlevania games, it has very little health but unbelievable super-strength, which actually adds a touch of humor to the game.

A pumpkin appears as an option of the Familiar Forge weapon and the "Innocent Devil" secret character in the Ode To Castlevania DLC.
It represents both the Innocent Devil from Curse of Darkness and the playable character from Lament of Innocence.
His starting weapons are Curved Knife and Troll Bomb.
Trivia[]
- If Pumpkin stands still, it will hum Joachim's theme song, Melancholy Joachim.
- Pumpkin's dying cries are actually Joachim's cries in the English voice setting, only sped up. This happens in both games for the PlayStation 2, regardless of the voice language setting.
- Pumpkin reappears in Castlevania: Curse of Darkness and Castlevania: Labyrinth of Love as an Innocent Devil.
- The Pumpkin Mace also refers to him, describing him as a "legendary hero".[1]
- Pumpkin also inspired the Pumpkin Head equipment item.
