Resist Dark is an Attribute Potion in Castlevania: Symphony of the Night that temporarily halves damage from attacks with the Dark attribute. The effect lasts about 68 seconds.
In Castlevania Puzzle: Encore of the Night, the item is called Shadow Essence and raises one's Shadow affinity, although it doesn't help unlock Shadow spells.
In Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow, it is an ability that halves Dark-based damage. It can be obtained as an Arc Demon's soul.
Enemies that deal Dark damage:
- All demons (including Arc Demon and Flame Demon's contact damage)
- Paranoia
- Death
