Resist Thunder is an Attribute Potion in Castlevania: Symphony of the Night that temporarily halves damage from attacks with the Thunder attribute. The effect lasts about 68 seconds. There are only four of these items in the game, and once used, they cannot be acquired again in the same playthrough.
The item is called Thunder Essence in Castlevania Puzzle: Encore of the Night and raises one's Lightning affinity, although it doesn't help unlock Lightning spells.
In Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow, this ability is obtained with a Bugbear's soul.
