The Rib of Vlad is a relic in the Castlevania series. It is an unholy rib and one of Dracula's bodily remains.

Castlevania II: Simon's Quest
The Rib Bone can be found in Berkeley Mansion and selecting it gives Simon a shield that can block projectiles when he is not attacking or climbing stairs. It is one of the five relics needed in order to gain access to the ruins of the Demon Castle and fight Dracula at the end of the game.
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
The Rib of Vlad is one of the items necessary to enter Shaft's chambers. It gives an additional CON +10.
Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance
The Rib of Vlad is one of the six items needed to enter the ceremonial room. It has the ability to negate poison.
