Not to be confused with Rosary.

Rosaly (ロザリー Rozarī?) (called Rosalee in the comic) is a mentioned character in Castlevania: Curse of Darkness. She was Hector's wife, who was executed for being falsely accused of practicing witchcraft.

BackgroundEdit

Rosaly was a healer of the Church who helped a wounded Hector after he defected from Dracula's army. She later became his wife, but was accused of witchcraft by Isaac, who cleverly manipulated her trial to ensure her guilt.

She was burned at the stake and her death drove Hector to reclaim his dark powers as a Devil Forgemaster to get revenge on Isaac, who had taken up residence in an abandoned castle in Wallachia.

NotesEdit

  • Julia Laforeze, Isaac's sister, bears an uncanny resemblance to Rosaly, and indeed when Hector first meets her, he almost mistook her for his dead wife.[1]

TriviaEdit

  • The manner in which Isaac managed to have Rosaly killed is reminiscent of how Hector's master Dracula's wife, Lisa, ended up executed.
